"Stranger in Paradise," the new Jesse Stone tale, from Robert Parker, is now out, and the distribution on this one is apparently w-i-d-e. Guess Tom Selleck portraying Stone, in several television movies, has helped, greatly.
Have you read "Stranger in Paradise"? What do you think of the story, the plot and the fact Crow is back, with that old murder hanging over his head.
Comments, needless to say, are invited and appreciated. What say yee.

ye i have read the Stranger in Paradise the story is avsolutley amazing like it, btw the site its really nice, keep up the good work
I just finished it and It was great. I Think it was probably the best of the Jesse Stone series yet. This story basically further develops on a small character in one of the first of the series, and like always its full of moral dilemas and plot twists.
great book.
I am a fan of Tom and this is why I enjoyed this movie very much.
I should say that I can't think think of some other storyline that is better than this, maybe because I am their fan. LOL
Keep the news coming. Nice blog.
Is Yee Piao referring to Tom Selleck, who plays "Jesse Stone," in the CBS TV movies? Magnum goes gray! "Stranger in Paradise" isn't all that great; okay, not great. Seems a left over "Spenser" idea. Oh well, next time, for sure. Write Parker, write on. gary
it is oddest Jesse Stone novels that Robert Parker has written. In Stranger In Paradise Stone is confronted by William Cromartie who came town to bring the daughter of gangster back to her father. The catch is Crow has been instructed to kill the mother of the daughter but he didnot do it . Instead he solicits Stone to stay out of his way while he protects the gangester daughter and takes care of the other baad guys the second point last time Crow was seen in Paradise he was speeding off with 10 million dollars leaving behind a string of bodies :-)
well, 'stranger in paradise' has the right amount of suspense and mystery to hook you till the last page. I am always a fan of crime and mystery kind of novels and this one really whet my appetite for more...
Jesse Stone trades quips with his deputies, Suitcase Simpson and Molly Crane; struggles with his relationship with his ex-wife, Jenn; and grapples with a criminal's return in bestseller Parker's sizzling seventh novel to feature the Paradise, Mass., police chief (after 2007's High Profile). Ex-con Wilson 'Crow' Cromartie, who claims to be Apache and who eluded the police after a shootout 10 years earlier in Trouble in Paradise (1998), wants Stone not to interfere in his search for someone in Massachusetts. A Florida mob bigwig, Louis Francisco, has hired Crow to kill his ex-wife and kidnap his 14-year-old daughter, Amber, but Crow has a policy of not harming women. In the end, Stone does more than leave Crow alone; he decides to make sure Amber, who's involved with a Latino gang, gets a chance, however slim, to overcome the odds stacked against her. Stone and Crow make an appealing odd couple as they first warily size each other up then become grudging allies in the pursuit of justice.
I have not yet read 'Stranger In Paradise', but I have read Robert Parker's other novels like Hundred-Dollar Baby, Now And Then and High Profile. High Profile also features Jesse Stone and it was really mind blowing.I do hope this one is also a sure shot!
STRANGER IN PARADISE is Robert B. Parker at the height of his powers as a writer. He has accomplished with this series exactly what he did so well with the Spenser novels decades ago. We know when we pick up a new book about Jesse Stone that we are going to be entertained and spend time with characters we care about. Few writers can boast of doing that with one mystery series. Parker has done it with three --- an amazing achievement --- and he keeps getting stronger with age.
I haven't read Stranger in Paradise yet. Not really fond of reading because I don't have enough money to buy some books. But if this is available online I would love to read it.
